Meet The Team
Jeremy Morgan, CB
CEO, Co-Founder
Jeremy’s lifelong love of numbers and accounting goes all the way back to his earliest days of childhood. His grandfather John Cook, who happened to own his own accounting firm, was his hero and role model throughout his life, so naturally, from a young age, Jeremy would try to impress his grandfather by showing off his own impressive skill set with numbers. Motivated to follow in his footsteps, Jeremy demonstrated strong mathematical aptitude from a young age, consistently placing into advanced coursework throughout high school and college—often alongside peers several years older. During his senior year of high school, having already fulfilled most graduation requirements, he dedicated significant time to apprenticing at two local accounting firms, including his grandfather’s. This early hands-on experience laid the groundwork for his future in the profession.
Jeremy has since built a career spanning more than two decades in accounting and financial management. Over the years, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the financial and operational needs of individuals and small businesses, enabling him to deliver practical, reliable, and client-focused solutions.
In 2025, he further strengthened his professional credentials by successfully passing the national certification exams administered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and is now recognized as a nationally Certified Bookkeeper (CB). Today, he remains committed to helping clients maintain accurate financial records, improve financial clarity, and focus more confidently on growing their businesses.
His professional experience includes serving as the sole Full-Charge Bookkeeper for a multi-location corporate restaurant group in the South, where he managed the financial operations of eleven locations during a period of continued growth, even amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. He later transitioned into a Financial Controller role with a construction company in Massachusetts, where he oversaw critical financial functions and strategic planning. He held this position until co-founding Morgan & Morgan Accounting Services with his mother, Mary.
Even in his free time, believe it or not, Jeremy is still usually working with numbers in some capacity. He is an avid fantasy sports enthusiast, and as a result, has developed and refined his own detailed statistical projection system for each baseball and football season since 1999. He is also, undoubtedly, obsessed with his cat Chloe, who is as needy and vocal as any dog out there, and as a result of her unique personality has her own TikTok channel.
Family plays a central role in Jeremy’s life. He values time spent with his loved ones and is especially grateful for the opportunity to partner with his mother in building a business that reflects their shared commitment to service, integrity, and excellence.
The only thing he may love as much as numbers are each of the Boston sports teams. Let’s Go Pats, Sox, C’s and B’s!
Mary Morgan
CFO, Co-Founder
Mary’s path to becoming a partner in this esteemed practice is less conventional than Jeremy’s, yet equally distinguished. Raised in a family deeply rooted in the accounting profession, she was influenced early on by her father, John Cook, who successfully operated his own accounting firm for more than two decades, and her uncle, Paul Cook, who served as Accountant for the Town of Provincetown, Massachusetts. This strong foundation naturally guided her toward a career in accounting.
Mary enrolled at Bentley University (formerly Bentley College) in 1977 at her uncle’s recommendation. She graduated with high honors in 1982, earning dual degrees in Accounting and General Business. Following graduation, she joined her father’s firm full-time, where she served as a trusted advisor and key contributor until the firm’s closure in 2003. She then played an instrumental role in supporting Steve Roderick, owner of Roderick’s Payroll, helping to expand and elevate its payroll and bookkeeping services until her relocation in 2009.
After moving to Missouri in 2009, Mary pursued a new professional direction, taking on leadership roles within several major corporate restaurant groups, including Joe’s Crab Shack, TGI Fridays, and Applebee’s. During this time, she further developed her expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting analysis. Upon returning to the Northeast to be closer to family, she continued in a similar leadership capacity within the Food Services Department at UVM Medical Center. She remained in this role until she and Jeremy decided to pursue their long-held vision of building a practice together. Mary is especially proud to now work alongside her son in this shared endeavor.
Outside of her professional life, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, caring for animals, and being outdoors. She is a devoted grandmother—affectionately known as “Nammie”—to Sophia and Cameron. Her ideal day includes time at a national park or campground with her grandchildren and her partner of over 25 years, Julie. In her free time, she enjoys games of all kinds, particularly board games, and brings a spirited sense of competition to everything she does.
